Kunio: I grew up with my father who taught me to make everything I wanted by myself.I even made my own skateboard by attaching four small logs to a wooden board.Of course, I couldn’t skate, but when I showed it, to my father, what I had made, he gave me a real skateboard. After spending my youth in the punk and hippie culture. My core is about destruction and regeneration, peace, psychedelic. Before this work, I had been making the same series of works with masks of different ethnicities from all over the world. In Japan, there is a celebration day for the growth of children aged 3, 5, and 7. I made Trippy Mouse mask personally for my 5-year-old son who loves Mickey Mouse.Of course, my son said this Mickey Mouse is the coolest thing ever!
